A Glimpse into Salisbury Park’s Legacy

Salisbury Park, nestled in Pune, has long been a vibrant hub for Adventist workers dedicated to service and mission. The campus is home to several prestigious institutions, including the Oriental Watchman Publishing House, Adventist Media Centre, Pune Adventist Hospital, and Hume McHenry Higher Secondary School. These establishments have been instrumental in shaping lives and spreading hope across the region.

Adding to its significance, Salisbury Park housed the Southern Asia Division headquarters until 1989, making it a historic epicenter of Adventist leadership and vision. The campus has nurtured a close-knit community over the decades, instilling a deep sense of belonging among its residents.

The name Salisbury is a tribute to Elder Salisbury, who tragically lost his life in a shipwreck in the early 1900s. It is believed he gave his life jacket to a fellow passenger in need, an act of selfless courage that symbolizes the values upheld by the community that bears his name.

Children born and raised here proudly identify themselves as Parkites, cherishing the unique heritage and shared experiences of life on this iconic campus. Salisbury Park remains a beacon of service, education, and faith, inspiring generations to come.
